Hello world!

SO, blogging is something I’ve considered for awhile. I find that regurgitating what I’ve been reading and pondering helps to consolidate my thoughts, which in turn helps changes in actions.

Something else that is much closer to my heart is God, followed by His ministry & family. People often say that family should be our priority over ministry, but the more Paul and I have thought and prayed over this, this more we realise that the two are designed to be woven together closely. This view certainly keeps us on our knees and we by no means get it right all the time. When God calls us to serve Him, he calls us knowing that we are wives, mothers and women, he calls us knowing our weaknesses, knowing our strengths and promising to supply all our needs wrapped in an abundance of grace. My prayer is that as Paul and I live our lives, daily before God that we might impart to our children that God is not an ‘In the box God’, but a God of the impossible and that stepping out in faith, does not necessarily mean stepping out in Faith according to the box we so quickly place God in.

Paul and I have been married nearly 6 years. We have 4 children (4,3,2 and 10 months) and 1 on the way, due in March. We are Team Partners with Australian Indigenous Ministries in a rural town called Moree, in North West NSW of Australia. Paul’s family were involved in Indigenous Ministry before I arrived on the scene from NZ and Paul and I met and married.

I hope to share with you some of the lessons we learn and gems we glean. Some posts will be short, some will be long. Most probably wont be punctuated correctly, but my prayer is that you may be encouraged and strengthened through God’s word.

May God’s peace be in your hearts,

Erin
