“All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better!” Colossians 1:10b
Meet our 2018 interns and read about their experiences with Ephraim House!
Heather is 21, from Sydney and has come out to Moree to help serve in different ministry areas and also help with the local (National Disability Insurance Scheme). Here’s what she has to say about her first few weeks with us…
“So my time in Moree so far has already be very rewarding at times, but very hard. I love being here and able to play and hang out with the aboriginal children, as they all come from different home backgrounds. And I really happy to see them having fun, smiling and laughing. I have only been here a short time and had lots of challenges, but I’m enjoying it.”
We appreciate Heathers thoughtfulness and consideration she gives towards the people she cares for and works with. We look forward to seeing how God is going to grow Heather and use Heather for His glory this year!
Laura came out to Moree last year for 2 1/2 terms and has returned, this time for 12 months. Laura is studying a diploma in Community Services online, plays a big part in the individual tutoring and helps serve some of our local NDIS clients. We appreciate Laura’s consideration for detail, her ability to connect and relate to children from all sorts of backgrounds and life experiences.Laura does not like Cockroaches. At. All.
Naomi is from Canberra. We first met Naomi at the NW NSW River Convention. Naomi has come to Moree as part of a gap year between finishing school and starting Uni next year. Her sense of humour, compassion and servant heart is infectious – so too is her heart for God’s Word. Naomi has to head back to Canberra at the end of Term 3. Please pray that God would provide someone to fill this space.
