It started at the Tourist Information Centre until we were respectfully asked to move on and find another place. We now meet at the local skate park at 9pm each Friday night. Usually the night wraps up by 12:30am / 1am.
We share a meal with the kids who are out and about. In the winter we sit around a fire bucket, and drink milo.
We have gospel-centred conversations, encouraging the kids to consider consequences of actions, where does the gospel of Jesus fit into their lives? and other topics they wish to discuss.
Building relationships built on trust and respect with boundaries is important.
Many of the kids have previously verbalised that the streets are far better than being at home. Think on that for a moment.
Ways to Help:
- Come along
- Contribute food / drinks
- Pray for soft hearts to receive the Gospel.
- Pray for relationships to grow and develop.
