Keeping Tabs on What We Say

I may not change the world today
But I’ll have an impact with what I say
It may only be to one or two
But no one knows what they will do

It may just be my words imbed
On someone’s heart or in their head
In that way I’ve played my part
And who’s to say just what they’ll start

Sometimes I may not think it through
The words I say or what I do
The things I do may also be
The starting point of a catastrophe

So I must watch what I do and say
For I will have to one day pay
For everything done off the lip
That may cause someone else to slip.
